Trainee Systematic Reviewer – Tian Jin (China)

Job description

Systematic Review Solutions Ltd (SRS), registered in China and the UK, is an independent company providing consultancy and training relevant to the production of healthcare systematic reviews and meta-analysis. Consisting of experts on conducting systematic reviews at home and abroad, SRS is the leading training and service provider in China, offering high quality service through broad international academic exchanges and cooperation. We undertake consultancy projects for a range of international clients primarily in the healthcare sectors and pharmaceutical industry.

We are currently seeking a graduate to join our specialist systematic review team in Tian Jin, China. Our systematic review team identify, assemble and interpret information to understand the value of interventions and health technologies. This information is used by our clients to inform real world health care decisions.

You will receive external training as well as on the job training from our senior reviewers.The systematic review team are respected for the quality of their work which covers clinical, cost and quality of life data. This team is pivotal in providing stand-alone data to support health technology appraisals and in providing data to inform the department’s analytical work. The graduate systematic reviewer would be expected to use robust methods to identify relevant literature, extract appropriate data and summarise and critically appraise this information. The outputs of this research may be stand-alone reports for clients or databases that are used to inform meta-analyses and cost-effectiveness analyses.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Formulate structured clinical questions.
• Liaise with clients and Information Specialist to develop search strategies and retrieve literature identified by search medical databases.
• Systematic review relevant skills: study selection, data extraction and collection, Risk of bias assessment, meta-analysis, heterogeneity analysis, sensitivity analysis, interpreting the analyzed data, ect.
• Assessment of studies for inclusion in reviews including critical appraisal, data extraction, correspondence with authors.
• Excellent computer skills in general office software: Word, Excel;
• Familiar with the data management and analysis software such as Endnote and RevMan.
• Undertake other duties compatible with employment.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate (preferred)in any healthcare related subject, Epidemiology, Psychology or Healthcare research methods.
• A desire to learn and to gain an in-depth understanding of systematic review and meta-analysis.
• Fluent written English skills.
• Good interpersonal communication skill.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.

We prefer to candidates who have published systematic review/meta-analysis in Cochrane Library or SCI journals.
